The 2015 Health Heroes
TWIN FALLS, Id. (KMVT / KSVT) The South Central Public Health District announced six winners for the 17th Annual Health Heroes Awards.
These heroes and all nominated are individuals who protect promote and enhance the health of southern Idaho citizens.
This year’s winners are:
Carmen Babb,
Dr. Jonathan Trip,
Dr. Cory Christensen,
Rhea Lanting,
Melanie Gonzales,
and the Amalgamated Sugar Company:
Here’s a word from some of the heroes on what this honor means to them.
Jonathan Tripp, Tripp Family Medicine,
“It means that we’re making an impact in the community, doing things a little differently.
Being a lot more personable and attracting friends and family of current patients because that is where our growth is coming from.”
Carmen Babb, Psychiatric Services Behavioral Health Clinic & Twin Falls Health Care,
“It means a lot to me, because what I do is try to help people, that’s what I’m about is just trying to reach out to the community.
I even founded a non-profit so that I can help more people and raise money through fundraisers and grants to provide free treatment for anybody that needs it.”
